Description

Rookie Ball is a modified form of Baseball where a Zooka machine is used instead of a pitcher. There are no balls and strikes and after four unsuccessful pitches, the batter hits off a Tee.

The competitive games are played at Tweed Heads (Arkinstall Park), Brunswick Heads Sports Field, Murwillumbah (Stan Sercombe Oval).

Games are played from 8.45am to 10.15am (minors) and 10.45am to 12.15pm (majors) (DST).

Age

Rookie Ball 7 – 9,
Little League Minor 10 – 12.

Cost

The cost to play Rookie Ball is $290 registration paid to Baseball NSW, which includes the Federal Registration (Baseball Australia) fee and includes insurance of players.

Uniform Cost – Shirt $40 and Cap $20.

Baseball equipment such as bats and helmets will be provided; however,
you are required to buy your own glove.

Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in this entry level of Little League Baseball and may become involved in practices and could be eligible as coaches, managers, or umpires. Each team is expected to assist with our Canteen.
